Participant Criteria
Participants should have already completed the AO Small Animal Principles Course
Course Description
The participants will:
· Have received information about in-depth management of complex orthopaedic problems
· Learn the principles of dealing with complex articular fractures
· Learn the biomechanical considerations in non-reconstructable fractures treated with biological fixation
· Gain an overview of additional implants used to manage complex fractures
· Learn a strategic approach to managing complex fractures
· Gain an overview of the range of injuries affecting the distal extremities
· Learn how to manage major problems affecting the extremities
· Gain an increased knowledge of management techniques for more complex fracture complications
· Have the opportunity to assess and discuss examples of complex fractures and fracture complications
