Goal of the course
The AOVET Equine Advance course emphasizes current and state-of-the-art concepts in the treatment and management of fractures in large animals.

Target participants
Participants should have completed an equine basic principles course. They should be experienced and actively involved in equine fracture management.

Course description
Course participants will increase their proficiency and learn more about new developments in equine surgery. Renown experts in equine orthopedics and traumatology will share their experience in fracture healing through presentations, discussions, and hands-on laboratory sessions.

Have deepened their knowledge in equine fracture management
Have learned and discussed latest developments in fracture care for veterinarians
Have learned how arthroscopy can be used to verify anatomic fracture reduction
Be able to apply the new fixation concepts—techniques and implants (locking compression plates) in large animals
Be able to integrate arthrodesis techniques into their daily practice
Be able to describe the principles of the internal fixator and its application in the horse

Cancellation will be charged as follows:

Until August 31, 2010 -> 10% of course fee
September 1 - October 31, 2010 -> 50% of course fee
after October 31, 2010 -> 100% of course fee

Bank fees and the commission for payment by credit card (approx 4%) will be charged in addition to the cancellation fee.
