Membership award levels

AOVET Active Members, who maintain their annual membership subscription, have the opportunity to attain two further award levels within the AOVET membership scheme. These additional levels are outlined below.

AOVET AMBASSADOR MEMBER

AOVET Ambassador members promote the AOVET philosophy through their contributions to the community

Benefits (in addition to ACTIVE MEMBER benefits):
  • Full access to published AOVET member directory details*
  • Online access to additional scientific journal options
  • Ability to submit and participate in online case discussions*

Permanent access to educational materials related to AOVET courses attended by member*

Prerequisites
Must have been an AOVET Active Member for a minimum of 3 years

AND

Have been an existing Faculty member for a given period
(2, 3 & 4 years respectively)

OR

Have attended both an AOVET Principles & Advanced course plus have 2 letters of recommendation

OR

Have attended both an AOVET Principles & Advanced course plus have 2 published peer reviewed cases on CaseBase

OR

Have been actively involved in an AOVET R&D project(s) for a minimum of 2 years

AOVET ACKNOWLEDGED MEMBER

Acknowledged members are recognized for their continuous dedication to the AOVET community

Benefits
The Acknowledged Member award level is an honor bestowed on those individuals who have shown a long-lasting and sincere commitment to the AOVET community. In addition this recognition, our Acknowledged Members enjoy all the benefits that are open to the other three award levels.

Prerequisites
Member of the International Specialty Board

OR

Former AOVET President & Chairs

OR

Honor bestowed on previously Ambassador Members for services rendered to the AOVET community

Membership Advancement / Roll-back Rules

The following rules apply to maintaining the Ambassador Member status:  
  • An Ambassador Member will roll back to Active Member status after 6 years of inactivity within the AOVET community and/or non-payment of the annual subscription fee
  • An Ambassador Member earns this status permanently after 10 years of continuous involvement

The following information applies to individuals who have achieved the Acknowledged Member status:

  • An Acknowledged member maintains this status for life
  • Retired Acknowledged members are no longer required to maintain the annual subscription fee
