| In February, the AO Foundation filed a building application with the municipality of Davos for the modernization and expansion of the existing animal house at the AO Center. The objective of the project, which should be completed by the end of 2010, is not only the integration of all experimental surgery and advanced imaging activities under one roof but also to apply for the highest international accreditation for the humane treatment of animals in research (AAALAC accreditation—AAALAC; Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International). |
